Chicano Park is home to the world’s largest collection of outdoor murals. Over eighty murals and a handful of sculptures bring life to a space unrecognized by the city. Individually, each piece historicizes different aspects affecting Chicano culture, ranging from Mesoamerican influences to local San Diego Chicano struggles. Collectively, these works promote cultural resistance and awareness.
